5 basic compositional elements in a good photograph
To create good shots is very important to be able to compose with the right balance some of the basic compositional elements that will explain in this post: this is not a set of rules but it is as if they were taken at will by a set of ingredients to create a pantry a succulent dish.
The secret is to remember that, as a chef never uses all the ingredients for a dish at his disposal, the same way a photographer does not use all the elements known to make a good composition
but try one or more of these elements to create harmony and communicative power in their photographs:
PATTERN
A pattern is a repetition of a geometric element of a plan, for example, think of the squares of cloth, the pattern of a wallpaper, with a facade of a building or a sidewalk. If we look around we see that patterns are everywhere and we can use them to obtain photographs of great visual impact.

SYMMETRY
Depending on the subject, the symmetry may be an element to search or to avoid. A symmetrical shot with an obvious focus of interest can create an evocative image, but can not become predictable and banal.

PLOT OR TEXTURE
With the use of the plot right, even an object in two dimensions can take life, and appear almost as if it were three-dimensional. The plot comes into play especially when the light hits objects from awkward angles, and thanks to the play of shadows that is created by its volume and consistency. An example of a plot is given from the bark of a tree, a rock pitted from water or from a ground cross-section dall'aridità.
THE DEPTH 'FIELD
The depth of field that you select when you take a picture can change drastically the effect that forms the image. It can isolate a subject from its background or the foreground (using shallow depth of field) or it can integrate the subject into context by highlighting what is around him (with a greater depth of field).

LINES
The lines can be very powerful elements of an image: in an instant focal points draw the eye and amplify the feelings that gives an image at the point of impact.
Diagonal lines, horizontal, vertical or convergent create different impacts: to enhance an image must locate and highlight them.
