Sunny 16 - A simple rule photo
Sunny or Sunny f/16 Rule 16 is a mnemonic used by photographers to remember a particular setting for correct exposure to sunlight. Initially developed for film photography (which is obvious, since many of the "ground rules" that circulate in this environment, as the above, born for film photography) to help determine the exposure without the use of light meters, Sunny 16 can also be applied to digital photography.
The basic rule states that, in a sunny day, the photographer has to set the aperture to f/16 and duration of roughly the same value in hundredths of a second, in relation to ' ISO
in use.
For example, if the photographer is shooting at ISO 100, the duration of exposure should be about 1 / 100, up 1 / 150. With ISO 200, the opening speed equal to 1 / 200, up 1 / 250 and so on.
The correspondence of f-stop, ISO and exposure time may be valid if any lighting condition, with minor variations:
- f/16 - sun, distinct shadows
- f/11 - slightly overcast, shadows have soft edges
- f / 8 - overcast, shadows can be seen just
- f/5.6 - very cloudy, shadows are not visible
With the option of Auto Exposure present on today's cameras is likely that the bulk of the work the machine do it automatically. However, when shooting is always good to keep in mind the basic rules of photography.

S16 ON RULE, NOT MUCH OF AGREEMENT. THE CHANGE OF APERTURE F /, INVOLVES THE RISK / HONOR TO MAKE A PICTURE IN MANY WAYS.
IF YOU HAVE A F / 5.6 The background will be 'out of focus. IF IN A LANDSCAPE WITH A Fence, THE FUND MAY 'IS NOT GIVEN THAT A GREAT.
EVEN IF YOU CAN 'be suggestive. MAYBE IT WAS A BETTER F/22
ON THE CONTRARY, AND MAYBE USE A F/22 MY CHILD WITH A BACKGROUND OF THE CAR, YOU WILL BE ALL INCLUSIVE 'NOT A FIRE AND RISULTARA' VERY BEAUTIFUL. Might have been better A F / 5.6
WHAT I WANT TO SAY AND 'THE RULE AND S16' too limited. FIRST OF ALL I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I WANT FROM PHOTOS. A PORTRAIT (blurred background) or panorama (ALL IN FIRE). HERE IS A REASON F / TOO HIGH OR LOW STATIC IMAGE INVOLVES A SIMILAR OR THAT THE MOVEMENT.
THE SUM OF TWO RULES me to select an f / + 1 / MORE TIME 'CORRECT.
BUT TODAY THE DIGITAL COMPACT EVEN THOSE ARE THE GREAT SPEED 'TO HAVE THE "SCENE". HERE I HAVE TO DO OR WANT TO KNOW WHAT I AM TAKING PICTURES AND THE MACHINE IS ALONE.
SCENE "PANORAMA" = AND ALL ITEMS WILL BE A FIRE.
SCENE "MOVEMENT" THE SPEED = 'aperture (1 /) WILL' SPEED SO IT WILL NOT 'MOVE.
And so on.

Thanks for the advice. If you want one from me when comments do not hold your caps lock down
Hello Max
I think you do not fully understand the rule of 16.
The rule consists in finding a pair of "standard" time / aperture to f16 considering the fact that, in a sunny day, you can use a time approximately equal to 1 / 125 (with ISO 100). Defined this parameter can vary both the time that the diaphragm considering the maintenance of their relationship.
eg. when you have placed the couple, f16-1/125 suppose, if you want to increase the aperture you can get varying times and would result in our example f5.6-1/1000.
