We know for example that during holiday periods, as well as during the season and during special events (sporting events, etc..) Selling photographs is easy with the themed event.
In all other cases we can rely on statistical data provided by these websites which endeavor to suggest the obvious advantage of photographs that have a high possibility of being purchased.
Here are some:
PhotoKeywords
One of the first websites that understand the importance of the data of a microstock agency was photokeywords.com , now part of the site of Yuri Arcurs . The site in question helps microstock photographers to identify a series of high-frequency keywords research to be associated with their photographs.
This tool can be a valuable aid in the selection phase of the keywords under which our images will be sought, an operation of fundamental importance for the success of sales (especially for those who are not as familiar with the English language and have difficulty insert highly specific terms).
Another site that offers a similar service can be found at findphotokeywords.com .
picnic
Even picnic provides real value of data from microstock agencies simply telling you what can be lucrative et a specific keyword or keyword.
Linking photos to keywords associated dates, with the sales data of the same photos, picnic generates a "vote" reference that indicates how likely it is that the keyword functions for the sale of the photograph.
The site offers this service in several languages and have a tool that offers tips to find keywords similar to the one just inserted, but received a "vote" superior.
iStockCharts
iStockcharts.de is a tool created by the German Agency 21TORR founded and managed by one of the main contributors of the iStockphoto site Hafemann Alexander ( mlenny iStock ). This site tracks the downloads of individual users Istockphoto providing a ranking of the best and the same when Alex held the position number 28.
The site allows you to reorder the list according to certain parameters taken directly from the data of iStockphoto. By default, users are sorted by number of downloads, you will not struggle to find Lise Gagne appear at the top of the list (your account is marked as anonymous) with Yuri Arcurs following a short distance.
Among other data are provided: the portfolio size, number of downloads per day, number of downloads of files and total rating for each portfolio.
Didier Kobi's Tools
On his website, Araminta Studio , Didier Kobi has created an interesting tool that shows a comparison of the major microstock photographers and their photography, in addition to other contributors who have applied to appear in the results.
It also offers the possibility of retrospective statistics, since the site saves the data of the past for a comparison of sales over time.
This tool is pressed to create an idea of what are the photographs that sell more on microstock sites through analysis of the work of major contributors.

Am I wrong or is the translation of a post I saw on a blog in English? XD
However, it is a beautiful article, even if I do not believe much in microstock, mainly the tool of Yuri Arcurs is very very useful.
It is a post Microstockdiaries.com, in my opinion the number 1 of the microstock sites. I believe in microstock much, although I realize that takes time, money and dedication.
I visited your site, we can work together, what do you think?
Hello,
I generally believe in microstock a little ', but sometimes are rejected photos that have a much higher level of quality to some in the archive and I think that above all to promote certain vendors.
What I'd like to do, and probably sooner or later I do, is spend a lot of time to create truly excellent photos microstock (so that 100% will not be rejected) and send them to various sites to see how much you can earn really . Theoretically it would be possible to gain much with the passing years, but in practice it seems a little 'doubt that.
I do not know how we can work together, however my e-mail, or find it in this comment on my site, please contact me as well so let's see. '
See you soon
Mark

Hello Andy,
Lee's blog is definitely among the best around and certainly the best known.
We also recommend microstockinsider.com Steve Gibson, in my opinion, comparable to microstockdiaries.com quality content.
And then, a little 'self-promotion, check out my
http://www.mystockphoto.org for news, statistics and "tools for microstockers", etc..
Microstock good to all,
